🏡 **A little perspective on the August real estate market…**

Sales slowed across Vancouver Island last month, but prices have remained surprisingly steady.

According to VIREB, August sales were down 4% compared with last year, while the benchmark price for a single-family home was $788,100....almost unchanged from August 2025.

What does that mean? 🧐

Buyers are taking a little more time and have more choice, while sellers still need to be realistic about pricing and presentation. It isn't a market where I'd rely on headlines alone; what's happening can be quite different from one neighbourhood and price range to another.
