A little collection from one of my favourite evenings at the beach.
These photos came from four different mini sessions, all photographed as the sun was going down. I love how much can happen in a short session when we have that light to work with.

There’s something really lovely about photographing two people who make each other laugh this easily.
Jazmine + Michael’s first session together took us around Durham and onto this little wooden bridge. They were so comfortable with each other that I barely needed to say a thing.

Jasmine + Frank, in a few of my favourite frames from their wedding day.
The way they were together, the little details, Jasmine’s dress (I’m still thinking about it)… there was so much to photograph at the Special Event Centre in Hanover. I got to play around creatively with these, and I really love where we landed.

They moved to town and I came away from their family session with new friends 🥹
A few of my favourites from this McGowan Falls mini with mom, dad, and their three kiddos. I love getting to show people one of my favourite local spots, especially when they’re still getting to know the area.

I’ve been waiting to get these two in front of my camera as an engaged couple.
Maddi + Tev are my pals, and documenting this part of their story feels so fitting. These photos in the field are making me even more excited for their wedding next July.

Sunrise at Council Beach with Ashley, Josh, their little one, and baby number two on the way 🤍
This was their first maternity photoshoot, and I’m so glad they have these photos of this chapter together. There’s something about being at the beach before the rest of the world wakes up that makes a session feel extra special.
I know I say it all the time, but I loooove sunrise light. Tell me which of these are your favourite!
Did you know your Nikon Z camera can basically become a giant phone-controlled camera? 👀
I use Nikon SnapBridge to connect my camera to my phone so I can actually see what my camera sees and trigger the camera remotely.
Which is VERY handy when you want to:
• Get yourself in the photo
• Set up a self-portrait without running back and forth to your camera
• Photograph from an angle where you can’t physically stand behind the camera
• Set your camera somewhere and still have control over it
• Try out a different composition while actually seeing what your camera is seeing
And depending on your camera model, you can also adjust things like your aperture and shutter speed right from your phone.
I feel like this is one of those camera features that gets overlooked because there are already SO many things to learn ahha
Meanwhile your camera is sitting there like… “you know I can do this too, right?”
I explained how I connect mine in the reel because once you know where to find it, it’s actually really simple.
