Some of the best business conversations don't happen in a boardroom.

They happen over a snow cone!

Earlier this month, we had the chance to visit two client locations, cool everyone down on a hot summer day, and spend time with the incredible people we have the privilege of supporting every day.

In a world of virtual meetings, emails, and support tickets, there's still no substitute for being face-to-face. Walking the halls. Sharing a laugh. Catching up with employees. Listening. Learning. Simply being present.

At Sirkit, we don't believe great partnerships are built when something goes wrong.

They're built long before that.

One conversation. One visit. One relationship at a time.

Our business has never been about collecting clients or customers. It's about building lasting partnerships. We become an extension of your team because we believe the best outcomes come from working alongside you, not just for you. Technology is simply the platform that enables those relationships, helping great organizations grow with confidence, security, and purpose.

To everyone who stopped by for a snow cone and a conversation, thank you. We genuinely love spending time with our partners, and days like this that remind us why we do what we do.

We F***in' Care ❤️

AI isn't the future anymore.

It's how work gets done.

Every day, employees are using AI to draft emails, analyze data, build presentations, write code, summarize meetings, and solve problems faster than ever before.

The organizations pulling ahead aren't the ones banning AI.

They're the ones giving their teams permission to use it safely.

Without clear policies, approved tools, and practical guardrails, sensitive company data can easily end up in places it was never meant to be. Most security risks today don't come from bad intentions. They come from good people making decisions without clear guidance.

At Sirkit, we believe AI should be an accelerator for your business, not a blind spot.

That means helping organizations embrace AI with the right balance of innovation, security, governance, and employee education.

Because the goal isn't to slow your people down.

It's to give them the confidence to move faster.

If your organization is using AI (and it almost certainly is), now is the time to make sure it's being used securely.

Let's start the conversation.

Last week, the Sirkit Leadership Team stepped away from our day-to-day responsibilities for three days of annual strategic planning.

These sessions are some of the most important days of our year. They give us the opportunity to align as a leadership team, challenge our thinking, improve our processes, and make intentional decisions about how we continue delivering an exceptional experience for our clients.

None of that would have been possible without the incredible hospitality of the Edmonton Construction Association.

While the meeting space was excellent, the real MVP of the week was Dylan Dornstauder.

From perfectly prepared meeting rooms and endless coffee (our team definitely put that to the test ☕), to outstanding breakfasts and lunches, Dylan anticipated every detail before we even had to ask. His professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care made it easy for us to stay focused on what we were there to accomplish.

Dylan, thank you for going above and beyond. It did not go unnoticed, and we truly appreciate everything you did for our team.

If your organization is planning a leadership retreat, strategic planning session, workshop, or board meeting, we highly recommend checking out the Edmonton Construction Association. They've also expanded their catering services, making them an outstanding option for organizations seeking a comprehensive meeting experience.

Thank you again to Dylan and the entire ECA team. We look forward to being back!

Cybercriminals don't always need sophisticated malware to get into your business. Sometimes, they just need someone to click.

Social engineering is one of the most common tactics attackers use, relying on urgency, trust, and emotion to convince people to take actions they normally wouldn't.

Knowing what to look for is one of your strongest defenses. If a request feels unusual, too urgent, or too good to be true, take a moment to verify it before you act.

We help businesses combine smart technology with security awareness because protecting your organization starts with protecting your people.

A strong password is important. But on its own, it's no longer enough.

Passwords can be stolen through phishing, reused across multiple accounts, or exposed in data breaches. That's why Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) has become one of the most effective ways to protect your business.

By requiring a second form of verification, MFA helps prevent unauthorized access, even if a password falls into the wrong hands.

It's a small extra step that can make a big difference.

We help businesses strengthen security with practical protections like MFA, layered defenses, and proactive cybersecurity strategies.

The best IT support isn't the fastest at fixing problems. It's the one that stops them from happening in the first place.

The best IT partner? You barely notice they're there.

While your team is working, we're behind the scenes monitoring, patching, securing, and preventing problems before they interrupt your day.

That's the difference between reactive IT and proactive IT.

Sure, we'll still ask if you've tried restarting your computer... but only after we've already checked everything else. 😉

Cybercriminals are changing their tactics. Instead of trying to hack your device directly, they're trying to convince you to do it for them.

ClickFix phishing is one of the fastest-growing scams, using fake error messages, CAPTCHAs, and "fix this issue" prompts to trick users into running malicious code on their own computers.

If a website asks you to copy, paste, or run commands to continue, that's a major red flag. Close the page and verify the request with your IT team before taking any action.

At Sirkit, we help businesses stay ahead of emerging threats with layered security, user education, and proactive monitoring.

PSA: Spear phishing isn’t random.

It’s targeted, researched, and designed to feel like it belongs in your inbox.

Attackers don’t need to break down the door when they can simply convince someone to open it for them. With just the right wording, timing, and pressure, even experienced users can be pushed into acting before they’ve had time to think.

And the impact doesn’t stop at one inbox. A single successful message can lead to credential theft, account access, and broader compromise across an entire organization.

At Sirkit, we help teams stay sharp against attacks that don’t look like attacks, because trust is exactly what cybercriminals are counting on.

When your email gets compromised, it doesn’t stop at inbox access. ✉️

It can open doors to banking, cloud storage, internal business data, and trusted relationships that attackers are more than ready to exploit.

And that’s what makes it dangerous. A hacked inbox isn’t just a problem, it’s a launchpad. It becomes a trusted source for phishing, fraud, and social engineering that can spread fast and hit hard.

We help teams stay ahead of threats like these before they escalate. Because once someone gets into your email, they’re not just in your inbox, they’re in your business.
