When I cook with cloves, it always feels like stepping into my grandma Rosemary’s kitchen as a young boy. Grandma Rosemary taught me that if I had patience and a few cloves, I could evolve something ordinary into something of wonder. Cloves, with their warm and comforting aroma, would fill the house with what can only be described as the physical embodiment of holiday cheer. Spicy, warm, delicate, yet powerful, cooking with cloves has always been like a hug from a loved one, a reminder that everything will be okay.
