Meet the Artists:
Spicyanide- /Spice-an-i’d/ 7/11

Spicyanide is a designer and mixed-media artist based in amiskwaciywâskahikan (Edmonton) for the last three years. Originally from Hamilton, Ontario, their creative practice centers around building mixed-media collages and custom patchwork clothing.

Our first Block Party of the season did not disappoint and I would say it was a massive success despite the hurdles we had to overcome:

Did we have to abandon our outdoor stage because of the rain? Yes - but our performers adapted quickly and still put on some amazing shows! Thank you for being so understanding and for sticking through it! We promise to have a more iron clad rain plan to ensure our next stage is less dependent on good weather.

Did we have to mow the grass hours before the event? You betcha - but you do what you gotta do! Huge shout-out to my beloved business partner and husband Tim for making this happen. It would have not been fun standing in knee high grass.

I think it's safe to say we have proved our concept and we are so excited to take all of our learnings from our first event to make our upcoming Block Parties even better!

Lastly - I want to thank our amazing Staff at Felice who continue again and again to adapt and deliver excellent service no matter what crazy new idea we throw their way. Events like this would not be possible without an amazing team. 🫶🏻

Our Block Party is coming up quick, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you all! Our final artist performing on the 10th is

St.Arnaud is the music of Ian (St.Arnaud), a project that balances buoyant, wry storytelling with roots and early indie influences, all wrapped in lively, danceable arrangements. Often described as “the goofy side of self-serious indie rock.” St.Arnaud began as a solo endeavour in the wake of the 2017 passing of close friend and musical collaborator Luke Jansen. What started as an intimate songwriting outlet has since grown into a dynamic live ensemble, featuring drums, bass, keys, electric guitar, and horns—each performance marked by a playful, improvisatory spirit. The self-titled St.Arnaud (Cordova Bay Records 2026) is the third record, but the first to really represent the spirit of a band.

We are so excited to announce we have the one, the only playing our first Block Party!

Bailey Sutton, an indie folk singer-songwriter based in YEG  blends both humour and vulnerability to connect to her audience. Drawing inspiration from her childhood inspirations Weird Al and Neil Young, she has developed a unique folk energy that weaves its way into her stage presence

With a sound akin to Donovan Woods and Lucy Dacus, Bailey's heartfelt lyrics and enchanting melodies connect deeply with audiences, inviting them into her world. Her conversational songwriting style is sincere, to the point, and at times quite blunt, with lyrics that don't often hide behind excessive metaphors and instead embrace raw authenticity.

​Bailey is a commanding force on stage, effortlessly captivating her audience, with pure unabashed entertainment always at the forefront of her priorities. Making each listener feel like they're witnessing the most fantastical show from the comfort of their best friend's home.

is an Edmonton-based indie-folk music duo whose lyrical songs and seamless harmonies will transport you from the wide open prairies to the forests and cliffs they dream about. Audiences are captivated by their warm, heartfelt presence and leave feeling strengthened and restored. 

Spencer Taubner (vocals, guitar) and Kelin (kay-lin) Flanagan (vocals, keys, banjo) have played music together since 2006, when they met playing Irish trad music. Loud in the Pines officially began in 2023 with the release of their first EP, self-recorded bitter bright. 

In 2025, Loud in the Pines released their first full-length record, the Canadian Folk Music Award-nominated Every Colour Left, with the support of the Edmonton Arts Council. Produced by JUNO-winner and multi-nominee Ben Plotnick, the record tells stories of their lives in their hundred-year-old house in the neighbourhood of Garneau in Edmonton. This album won Producer of the Year (Ben Plotnick) at the Canadian Folk Music Awards in 2026.
