Join us for a season of art that resonates beyond the stage. Edmonton Opera brings the community together through meaningful artistic experiences that celebrate our shared humanity. Founded in 1963, Edmonton Opera is dedicated to producing great performances that showcase the powerful emotions of opera to our community. Each season, we challenge ourselves to present familiar favourites in imaginative new productions and feature repertoire that audiences rarely get to experience live. Beyond the stage, Edmonton Opera is committed to making opera accessible, exciting, and meaningful for our diverse community. We offer free events and performances throughout the year, and often collaborate with other non-profits and arts organizations to reach new audiences. We also share the magic of opera with young people through our Education Program, Student Dress Rehearsals, and Under 40 ticket initiatives. By practising consistent and focused community engagement, Edmonton Opera aims to establish the performing arts as an essential part of everyday life in Edmonton.

Edmonton Opera is heading to Festa Dell’Uva this Sunday! Join our incredible singers for two live performances celebrating Italian repertoire at 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM.

And that’s only part of the afternoon. Festa Dell’Uva, presented by Viva Italia Edmonton, also brings together grape stomping, Italian food and market vendors, gelato, olive oil tastings, and plenty of reasons to stick around between performances.

We’re back to our regular office hours and already deep into another season of opera in Edmonton.
As always, can reach us by phone Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Prefer to stop by in person? Our office is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
Behind the scenes, things are getting busy as we work toward another season full of big voices and memorable moments.

The search is on.
Live auditions for the 2026 Rumbold Vocal Prize are underway, with emerging opera artists from across Canada auditioning in Edmonton, Vancouver, Montréal, and Toronto for the chance to take the next step.
Four finalists will be chosen to come to Edmonton this November for a week of coaching, mentorship, performance, and competition.
We can’t wait to hear who’s next.

Opera Pub is back, and we’re settling into a new home for the season.
Join us at The Druid Irish Pub for live opera, casual drinks, and a relaxed night out downtown.
It’s opera up close, in a room built for gathering. No dress code, no big production, just great voices, good company, and a pint within reach.

Cell service can sometimes be slower out at the garden, so we recommend saving your ticket before you arrive.
Then, when you get there, you can spend less time searching your inbox and more time finding your spot, exploring the grounds and settling in for the evening.
