Main structures are up and camp is taking shape. Now it’s time to tidy everything up and get out scouting.

Won’t be long now until the hunters arrive. Moose season is getting close!

Day 5 of 30 — Moose Camp 🫎

I don’t even know where this camera is, but it’s one of them. 😂

Looks like the bulls are out of velvet now. Everything’s happening right on schedule — fall is coming, the rut is getting closer, and moose camp is about to get interesting.

Day 4 of 30 — Moose Camp 🫎

The boys got on the trapline last night and did some damage! 😂 The cook tent should be mouse-free shortly.

Day 3 of 30 First permanent floor of the season is down at our Peace River moose camp!

Tate’s putting the final touches on everything before our hunters arrive on the 23rd. It’s a bit of a chilly morning out here today, but camp is coming together and we’re looking forward to the upgrades we’ll be making in the years ahead.

One improvement at a time. Won’t be long now until the hunters are in camp and the bulls start talking. 🫎

Day 2 of 30.

No picture of the coffee this morning. This is the first bull I’ve had on camera this year with a lot of velvet rubbed off.

This old bugger’s been on the trail for a few years now. Maybe this is his year.

Heard an elk bugle while I was digging the s**t hole this morning. 😂

30 mornings in moose camp. Let’s see what the next month brings.

Another incredible wild wood bison from the archives!

Looking back, I sure wish we would have had this bull officially scored and entered with SCI. Knowing what we know now, I have a feeling he would have ranked extremely well.

We tracked this bull on foot until he finally appeared in a clearing. An epic hunt and one I’ll never forget. There’s even a Blair Witch-style video of the hunt over on TikTok 😂

The more I look back, the more I realize just how world-class the wild wood bison hunting we have right at our fingertips really is.

Can’t wait to get back out there this winter chasing wild wood bison!

ONE HELL OF A BISON

Three great clients and one hell of a crew.

This is from our bison season at the start of 2026. Close to a month chasing wild wood bison, clearing trails, grinding through rough conditions, and doing whatever it took to stay on them.

I wouldn’t call it luck. We just worked damn hard so when the opportunity came, we were ready.

Somewhere along the way, we rebuilt a cabin, did a little fishing, shared a lot of laughs, and eventually everything came together with this incredible bull.

By the end, clients and crew had become one pretty tight group.

And if anything had gone sideways, let’s just say our health and safety department was definitely overqualified. 😂 Those who know, know.

Great bull. Great people. One hell of a trip to remember.
