After fifteen years in environmental consulting and project management practice with Stantec, Dillon, the Confederacy of Mainland Mi'kmaq and in renewable energy development, Michael built Momotus to make environmental intelligence accessible, affordable and available on demand, so projects keep moving, risk comes down, and internal teams get more done.

This session looks at how to use AI in a regulated environment, and where it actually sits in environmental evaluations in 2026: what it can be trusted with, what it cannot, and how a coded regulatory rules engine keeps the writing traceable back to the source. AI should never be trusted to decide what to say, only how to say it. Relevant to anyone producing registrations, baseline reports, remediation plans or reclamation documentation across Atlantic Canada.
