Over 10,000 years ago, the glacier in the Athabasca River Valley slowly moved across these rocks, breaking away pieces and resulting in the formation of a cliff. Jasper’s hardest rock, the Gog quartzite, broke off in large blocks.

A stream flowing beneath the glacier initiated the formation of the canyon. As the glacier retreated, the Athabasca River took over and continued to gradually deepen and widen the canyon, removing several millimetres of rock each year.

Travel tip:

⛰️ You can only bring strollers/wheelchairs by the falls. You will need to carry it if you want to go down the stairs as pictured above.

⛰️ Arrive early to avoid the crowd.

Taas kamay kung sino ang mga hindi pinapayagang manood ng battle of the bands at mga concert nung high school pa sila kasi strikto yung parents nila? AKO!!! 🙌 May takdang oras na ng pag-uwi, kailangan pang alam ng parents ko yung phone number ng magulang ng kasama ko para lang makalabas ako. Oh diba? Hahaha! Kaya ngayong trentahin na ako, nanood talaga ako ng mga bandang ito kasi iniidolo ko sila mula pa nung bata ako. Salamat sa @talaentertainment88 sa pagdala sakanila dito sa Canada. 🇨🇦 Binuhay niyo ang pagka-bata ko! P.S. Regalo ko ito sa asawa ko kasi kwarentahin na siya! Joke!!! Trentahin din yon!!! 😜 _____________________________________________ Raise your hand if you weren’t allowed to watch Battle of the Bands or concerts back in high school because your parents were so strict? ME!!! 🙌 I even had a curfew, and my parents needed to know the phone number of the parents of whoever I was going out with before they would let me leave the house. Can you believe that? Hahaha! So now that I’m in my thirties, I definitely went to watch these bands because I’ve been a fan of them since I was a kid. Thank you to @talaentertainment88 for bringing them here to Canada. 🇨🇦 You brought my childhood memories back to life! ❤️ P.S. This was a gift for my husband because he is turning 40! Just kidding!!!
