Well it’s official. August in Edmonton has come to a close and the mosquitoes have undoubtably won. Touché my blood sucking friends. You really did it. You sucked all summer long 👍

I gotta say I imagined this whole day feeling and looking different than this. But feeling ready to start life in this new semi-unison clapped dimension.

Shout out to my mother for actually waking up and always being there for her ridiculous children.

Remembering Jackie today with this: a video I made commemorating my time watching Sunny and Gizmo grow up live on the FOBBV cam. I didn’t realize what I was getting myself into when I first tuned into this live stream. I didn’t realize how invested I was about to get. But in the weirdest most bizarrely parasocial way possible, this little eagle fam became part of my fam for a while and I am grateful to FOBBV for letting us all be apart of their lives. Thanks to Jackie and Shadow for all of the heart warming and heart wrenching moments. Rest easy to the sweetest eagle mom out there 💕🦅

For those saying “Summer really flew by”

Rain or shine is not a full sentence. Event planners need to actually be sitting down to consider what they will do if the rain shows up, if they are actually prepared for it, and what their plan is if the event does need to get cancelled (because not all rain is built the same)

I appreciate anyone who takes the time to plan an event, create a moment, create a memory for people. But if your event is outdoors, weather should be the first thing you plan for, and I have seen too many people get absolutely destroyed by the weather this year with seemingly no forethought be the event planners.

I understand event planning is a hard, often thankless job. But weather is such a big aspect specifically for outdoor events. So this is my friendly reminder to actually make a plan for when weather happens, and to please share that plan with your attendees.

Can’t believe I got to crank it with Slayyyter herself this summer. Told my neck I would try to keep it chill at this concert and that was a lie. This song makes me feral every time.

This summer has been absolutely wild. You literally have to make the most of every possible second that you aren’t actively running away from a severe thunderstorm watch. Kesha we are so sad we didn’t get to see you last night. But thank you Boston Pizza for salvaging the eve for us sad soggy folks.
