Insight Works
Insight Works, an ISV for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, offers apps for manufacturing and distribution. Visit dmsiworks.com.
With 600+ global resellers and offices in Canada and the Netherlands, they streamline operations worldwide.
You open a maintenance task and see exactly which assets need attention right now and which ones do not. No spreadsheet, no manual tracking, no asking around.
→ Work instructions, manuals, and documents are attached directly to the task. Your tech has everything they need before they take a single step on the floor.
→ If the job requires different trades, you list each activity separately on the same work order. You can also assign the whole thing to a single maintenance tech if that is how your operation runs.

A salesperson makes a handful of selections on screen. Product Configurator generates the full BOM and routing automatically. By the time they hit OK, the configuration is production ready.
→ Rules control what can and cannot be configured. Select one option and required components get forced in. Select another and the system prompts an upsell. You cannot configure a product that cannot be built.
→ From that point, it is a standard item in Business Central. MRP and MPS work exactly the way you would expect.
Using an AI voice command, you describe what you need and Product Configurator builds the configuration inside Business Central.
No typing, no manual BOM entry. This capability is available on request and not included out of the box.
→ You quote hundreds of configurations without creating hundreds of item numbers. Your item master stays clean. The item only gets created when the quote converts to a confirmed order.
→ If your item numbering convention reflects color, gauge, or length, the configurator builds that number automatically from the selections you made. No manual numbering, no risk of inconsistency.
You hope your equipment runs at 100% efficiency. It rarely does. Business Central does not have a native way to track when your equipment actually needs attention, and by the time you find out, it is already affecting your schedule.
The Maintenance Manager app closes that gap.
→ You set maintenance intervals by runtime, output count, or distance. Runtime and output count pull in automatically from production activity in Business Central. No manual counter reading, no separate data entry.
→ Your maintenance orders behave like production orders. Scheduling tools like the Graphical Scheduler and MxAPS already account for them alongside your production, so you can see maintenance and production on the same view and move things around when priorities shift.

Every minute a customer waits at the parts counter chips away at trust. Handwritten orders and manual item lookups slow checkout and open the door to mistakes, and trade desks need a level of speed and accuracy most point of sale systems weren't built for.
Counter Sales solves this from inside Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. A guided order wizard walks staff through fast, accurate entry, while barcode scanning and advanced item lookup keep checkout moving and errors down. Split payments, deposits, and returns are all handled without leaving Business Central.
Counter Sales brings this speed and accuracy to every parts counter and trade desk.

Warehouse Insight brings license plating to Business Central, so a single barcode scan confirms an entire pallet at receiving, put-away, picking, or shipping. You build license plates directly from handheld devices during any warehouse workflow.
Scan one LP barcode to put away a full pallet, move it between bins, or verify it at the shipping dock. On the outbound side, license plates built during picking eliminate re-verification at shipping entirely. Once confirmed, Dynamic Ship generates the carrier label, packing slip, and bill of lading from the same device. Multi-level license plates support boxes nested inside pallets, with every level tracked in Business Central.

Catching a failure is only half the job. Figuring out why it happened, keeping your inspection equipment compliant, and getting an NCR out the door all take time you'd rather spend on the shop floor.
Quality Inspector v7.26 closes those gaps.
→ If a tool's calibration has expired, Quality Inspector blocks it from being used on a test. You stop relying on manual tracking to catch expired gauges, scales, or measurement tools.
→ A new signature data type field lets you capture sign-off directly on the test. Your approval trail lives on the test itself in Business Central, not in a separate signed document.
→ A configuration wizard walks new installs through setting up their NCR process from scratch. No guesswork on how to structure the nonconformance workflow.

Shipping to Canada, Mexico, or the EU means your team is hunting through email for HS codes and country-of-origin details, then manually building customs forms by hand.
Dynamic Ship transmits all of it electronically to the carrier at label time. FedEx, DHL, UPS receive the complete customs data and can clear shipments faster, with fewer holds.
HS codes, country of origin, declared value, and weight flow automatically from your item master into the customs card. The commercial invoice is generated in Business Central using data your team already maintains. No one types it twice.
