Compassion House Foundation

Yesterday, we gathered at the House for an early celebration of National Indigenous Peoples Day. Elder and past guest Beverly Burnstick joined us in the kitchen to prepare beef and tomato macaroni soup with bannock, filling the space with warmth, stories, and community.

Our House stands on Treaty 6 territory, and we are honoured to use this land as a place of healing and connection. As we head into the summer solstice this weekend, we are reminded of the importance of coming together and sharing these moments.

Nothing brings people together quite like a home-cooked meal! Thank you, Janet and Seana, for preparing such a thoughtful meal of lentil soup, homemade bread, and fruit crumble.

Last Thursday, the Royal Mayfair Golf Club hosted an incredible evening of champagne and seafood in support of Compassion House Foundation.

That is how far our van travelled in 2025 to support our guests. From medical appointments to grocery trips, we are here to ease the stress of navigating the city alone.

On National Cancer Survivors Day, we recognize that every journey is unique. Thanks to our incredible community, the House is here to support each person exactly where they are.

Love, acceptance, and belonging are at the root of everything we do. Our tree is bursting with colour, reminding everyone who enters that this is a safe, welcoming space for all. Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈
