2 posts in one day??? Sorry-had to! & this one's gonna be a bit long.

The first pic is a necklace I made 2 days ago. The second pic is one from April 2026.

After I finished law school, I felt extremely lost, frustrated & tired. I needed a break. Luckily, I was able to keep my research assistant position part time to pay the bills. But I had big dreams!! I wanted to be an artist, to push myself to truly follow my passion. So, I gave myself the summer to make it work. I did markets, posted on socials waaayyy more, & took on some huge custom orders!

If i'm being so real with yall, it didn't work out the way I expected. The economy is s**t right now and everyone is struggling. My products are for sure a luxury and I understand that my dream just isn't financially viable right now. I had a conversation with my partner about where we are at financially & felt super bummed out for a few days. It's time to wind down on markets. Its time to find a full time, permanent position that will pay my bills, help me save for a house & wedding, and let me fund the fun parts of my life.

That being said, I am so so proud of myself for giving it a go. And truly, it was not a loss to put my energy towards this. I grew so much as an artist. The 5 month difference between these two pieces SHOWS. I put my heart into this work & I improved in ways I didn't see coming.

I'm not giving up. I'm just slowing down a little. I'll still be out here, slanging my wares. But I have to survive right now.

I appreciate everyone who has put their energy toward me and given me the opportunity to pursue my dreams, whether that be boosting my socials or purchasing or simply telling me how much you love my work.
