Through free after-school sports and enrichment programs, FPFK creates welcoming spaces where kids can stay active, build confidence, develop new skills and make meaningful friendships. With programs offered at locations across Edmonton, more families can access positive experiences for their children right in their communities.

The summer celebrations continue at HomeEd! ☀️🎉

Building on the energy of our first gathering, we hosted our second annual resident celebration of the season. What a fantastic time bringing together another community of neighbours, families, and industry partners.

From the delicious food fresh off the grill to the great conversations, these events remind us that the heart of HomeEd is the people who live in our communities. Creating opportunities for residents to gather, access local resources, and enjoy time outdoors is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

Thank you to our hardworking team for hosting another seamless event, to our community partners for joining us, and to all the residents who came out to celebrate with us! We truly appreciate seeing everyone come together.

May 5th is Red Dress Day. The National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people (MMIWG2S).

Empty red dresses hanging in our communities are a symbol of the staggering number of Indigenous women who should be here with us today, but whose lives have been cut short by violence.

At HomeEd, we stand in solidarity with the families, survivors, and communities grieving these losses.

Today, we reflect on our role in building a community where Indigenous women are safe, respected, and empowered.
