Barrel Aroma Cups:
Porcelain, made in Japan. The shape is designed so coffee hits the tip of your tongue first, where sweetness is most noticeable. Basically a cup built to make your coffee taste sweeter. Microwave & dishwasher safe.

Beans Tray:
Resin, made in Japan. Flat surface for picking through beans and spotting defects, plus a spout built to fit right into your grinder hopper without spilling. Small thing, makes prep way less annoying.

Matcha Whisk & Stand:
Resin, made in Japan. Same feel as bamboo, way more durable, and dishwasher safe 😜.

Ceramic Matcha Whisk Stand:
Porcelain, made in Japan. Keeps your whisk's shape between uses so it's ready to go next time. Flip it over and it doubles as a handle rest too.

The HARIO V60-01 Alpha Series Drippers are now in stock!

A new take on the iconic V60, the Alpha replaces the traditional raised ribs with concave internal channels. This inverted design helps the filter sit closer to the walls, reducing bypass and directing more water through the coffee bed for an even extraction with more sweetness and body.

Connecting grooves also release trapped air, helping maintain a smooth, consistent drawdown.

Now available in two materials:

- Ceramic
A substantial matte-black dripper with thick walls for excellent heat retention. (a very cool look btw)

- Tritan
Lightweight, BPA-free and shatter-resistant. Available in three colours: Clear, Amber and Transparent Black.

Both are size 01, ideal for brewing 1–2 cups and compatible with HARIO V60-01 filters.

Meet our friend in Vancouver!

They’ve been serving Rogue Wave coffee for almost five years now!

Last week, Steely stopped by to meet Lumine’s manager, Stella (.ye.kim), and the team (they’re adorable!).

After a little Q&A, Stella brewed Peru La Perla, our August Roasters Club coffee, as an iced pour-over!

Our third and final judge is Dustin Yu! 🎉

Dustin is the Director of Coffee at The Roasters Pack and Coffee Wallas , with a decade in specialty coffee and a lapsed Q certification. He loves to nerd out on everything from green buying to quality control, and does a little bit of everything from design to ceramics to coffee tasting.

Dustin started officially working in coffee in 2016/17, and became interested in specialty coffee in 2012/2013. He doesn’t quite remember the exact coffee that pushed him over the edge, but it was likely either an Ethiopian Kilenso Natural from back in the day, or a Ninety Plus coffee he had in Hong Kong!

We would be remiss to not mention Dustin’s integral part in planning ORIGAMI Cup 2026! Dustin’s supported every stage of the planning process, weighing in on everything from design to scheduling and beyond. Thank you for everything, Dustin! 🚀

Our next judge is none other than the incredible Tiff Bhagwandin, Coffee & Roasting Manager over at Pilot Coffee Roasters ()! 🐎

Tiff is also the 1st runner-up at the 2025 Canadian Cup Tasters Championship , and has served as a jury member for the Cup of Excellence three times over the past three years! Can’t wait to see you on Friday, Tiff!

We are beyond excited to begin sharing our heavy-hitting lineup of judges for ORIGAMI Cup Canada 2026!

🥁 Starting off with our first judge, coming all the way from Zurich… Matt Winton ()!

Matt is the World Brewers Cup Champion 2021, two-time Swedish Barista Champion (2018, 2019), and Swiss Brewers Cup Champion 2020. He’s the owner of Rose Coffee Roasters () in Zurich, working across sourcing, roasting, education, and competition coaching. He's helped launch many of Zurich's standout specialty spots, including MAME, Roots & Friends, and Collective Bakery.

While he’s in Toronto next weekend, Matt will also be hosting popups at Hatch () and The Roasters Pack (). Follow along for more updates about the popups!
