Holy Tuft

I’ve looked at this photo so many times 🥹

Dad made a portrait of the family🧑‍🧑‍🧒, their son made a papaya, and Mom made a cat under a rainbow. I wasn’t teaching that day, and I wish I’d been there to ask about their designs. Is papaya his favourite food? Is that their cat? I’d love to know.

What gets me most is the three of them standing together, each holding something they made. My kids are still too little for tufting, but this makes me excited for the day I can bring them in and make rugs together.

Thank you for spending your family day with us at Holy Tuft. This photo made me feel so happy 💛

Our Edmonton tufting workshops welcome ages 9 and up, with an adult required for participants under 16.

🥰Innovation doesn’t always have to be flashy. Sometimes, it begins with noticing a small problem that everyone has simply learned to live with—and deciding to solve it. 💡

Anyone who has tufted before knows how easy it is to accidentally get poked by the sharp needles around the frame. We spent a lot of time thinking, designing and testing until we found a simple, practical solution that makes our frames safer and more comfortable to use.

It may look like a small change, but it makes a big difference. ✨

At Holy Tuft, we’re always looking for ways to improve your experience—because creativity should be fun, comfortable and worry-free. ❤️

And yes… these were the mystery pieces from our giveaway previously ! Did you guess correctly? 👀

Same workshop, two totally different creative visions 🌺❤️

One chose a bold pink hibiscus, while the other created a colourful sacred-heart design. We love how every guest combines different colours, shapes and details to make a rug that feels completely personal.

At Holy Tuft YEG, you can design and tuft your own custom rug—even if you’ve never tried tufting before! It’s a fun Edmonton activity for date nights, birthdays, girls’ days and group outings. 🧶✨

There’s something really special about turning something meaningful to you into something you can make with your own hands. 🧶❤️

For some, it’s their own cats. For some, it’s someone they love. For others, it’s their faith, their beliefs, or simply an image that means something to them.

That’s what I love about tufting — every handmade rug has a story behind it. You start with an idea, slowly build it line by line and colour by colour, and then finally get to see it come to life.

One of my favourite parts is seeing those satisfied smiles at the end — that little look of “I actually made this.” 🥹

Different designs, different meanings, but the same proud and happy feeling at the end. That’s what makes every tufting workshop at Holy Tuft so special. ❤️

If you’re looking for a fun and creative thing to do in Edmonton, come make something that actually means something to you. ✨
