I’ve always had a thing for garden gnomes, but I’ve always wanted one of these old vintage ones. So when I spotted this guy at an estate auction, I knew he was coming home with me. ❤️
Garden gnomes originated in Germany in the 1800s, especially around Gräfenroda, which became known for its ceramic and terracotta figures. They were inspired by old European folklore about little underground creatures and were often portrayed as hardworking little fellows.
They eventually spread across Europe, and in 1847, Sir Charles Isham brought 21 German gnomes back to England for his garden. Only one, nicknamed Lampy, is known to have survived. They became especially popular in gardens in the 1950s and 60s.
I already have gnomes, but now I finally have a VINTAGE gnome. 😂 And I may or may not have gone gnoming as a teenager… so clearly this obsession has been a long time coming. 😂❤️

☀️ Finish this sentence…
This summer I’m looking forward to _______________.
For me?
Estate sales, thrift stores, and hopefully uncovering some incredible vintage treasures to share with all of you.
When I’m not treasure hunting, you’ll probably find me relaxing at the trailer while RooRoo and his two brothers enjoy their catio, and Kayley soaks up every minute of trailer life. 🐾
Your turn! I’d love to hear what everyone has planned this summer. Whether it’s camping, traveling, staying close to home, or something completely different, tell me what you’re most looking forward to.

One of the things I love most about reselling is giving overlooked items a second chance.
A lot of the clothing I buy comes from estate sales, where the clothes often get little to no interest. Sometimes the family is trying to clear out a loved one’s belongings, and it feels good knowing those pieces are still bringing some value instead of being overlooked.
I also love the idea of taking something with a history and finding it a new home. Every piece has a story, and there’s something special about connecting it with someone who will appreciate it just as much, or maybe even more, than the original owner did.
I’ve always felt that the best vintage pieces deserve to keep being worn, loved, and appreciated rather than sitting forgotten in a box somewhere.
What’s the most rewarding part of reselling for you?
