Estevan Comprehensive School

October is always an exciting month with the United Way Estevan telethon! We are so appreciative of all the support from our local United Way and can’t wait for our SRC students to do their annual takeover at the 50th telethon.

What a great opportunity for youth in our community!

Is it too early to start talking about Thanksgiving? 🦃😆 We hope not, because.....

The Co-op Challenge is a long-standing volleyball competition between WCS and ECS. On a standard year, it involves the varsity boys’ and girls’ teams play a home-and-away series where the points for and against both teams are totaled to determine the reigning champions. This year, we find ourselves in an unprecedented situation where WCS does not have a varsity boys’ team. As such, this year’s competition will only involve games between the girls, and we regret that the boys’ teams will not be part of the competition. We hope to return to the original format in future years to continue the longstanding tradition and are thankful for the continued support of the local Co-ops this year.

Admission is by cash or food donation to help support the Salvation Army.

Our Cross Country Team competed at the Carlyle meet yesterday with athletes achieving faster times from their last meet in Stoughton! Congratulations to Graceigh Sullivan on her 3rd-place finish! Great job to all our runners! Next competition is SEDAA Districts on Monday, October 5th in Rocanville.

Congratulations to Intermediate Girls’ Volleyball team on placing first in Ogema tournament this weekend!
