Late May born heifer calf!
Sired by Charolais bull Tried and True out of a 12-year-old Lowline cow. And Mama isnāt finished yetāsheās bred Hereford and due May 1.
Longevity, efficiency and maternal ability matter here. At 12 years old, Mama maintains this kind of condition on grass alone while raising a heifer like thisāand this little calf has us thinking we need to make more of this particular cross. š¤

We flew into Kansas City, drove to Branson to celebrate family at the most beautiful wedding, then turned around and headed back for a Chiefs game.
A lot of miles, a lot of laughs, and one unforgettable weekend. Days like these remind me just how big and beautiful life can be.

A work trip, but make it western.
I am so happy that I got to attend Westmoreland's Environmental Summit in Montana this week. I met great people, had captivating conversations and learned so much. I did a bunch of shopping and hiked at Zimmerman Park.
