Fergus Fibreworks

We have decided to join Tour de Fleece ( spinning every day during the Tour de France and keeping track) and this is what we managed to get done the first day! We will try to add daily photos of our progress! If you have any interest in spinning your own yarn we can help!

Inspired by my recent cruise to the British Isles, I am weaving a herringbone pattern. Silk warp and handspun merino silk weft.

A couple of new weavers were created in the studio today, and a couple of lovely rugs were woven! Look at those beautiful edges! We had a very impressive little helper drop by for a bit too! Altogether a fun and productive day!

First workshop of the year. Needlefelt a sheep face. Everyone had a blast and went home with finished portraits.

I just finished weaving this scarf on my rigid heddle loom. It’s pretty cool what you can accomplish with these looms!

Good day fibre friends! While we normally open our doors to the studio for drop-ins visitors and like- minded crafters on Wednesday evenings, due to the weather we will cancelling tonight.
