Folks, that’s a wrap on summer operations at Fernie Alpine Resort, and with the resort now closed for the season, there is absolutely no uphill access through the resort or from Mt. Fernie Provincial Park.

Heavy equipment is currently working across the mountain, and unauthorized travel is not permitted. Please respect all closures and give our teams the space they need to work safely.

For now, we’ll bring the mountain to you and share a little of its fall beauty from afar.

Ready to take your snowboarding to a competitive level?

The Girls Big Mountain Development Team is a multi-week program for strong, confident snowboarders ages 10–17 who are ready to push their progression and explore the pathway to competition.

Train with experienced coaches across powder, steeps, natural features, park terrain, and banked slalom, while building the technical skills, mountain awareness, and confidence needed to compete.

Athletes will also have opportunities to take part in local freeride competitions, banked slalom events and other competitive experiences throughout the season.

For girls who want to ride harder, progress further and discover what they’re capable of.

Only TWO weekends left to get your summer Elk Chair laps in until 2028!

We’re back for our first Bonus Weekend, with both the Elk and Timber Chairs spinning from 10am–4pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

With the NEW Elk Express Chair coming for winter 2027/28, this summer marks the end of Elk Chair summer operations until 2028. So whether you’re biking, hiking or sightseeing, now’s the time to get those laps in!

Plus, Music on the Mountain is back this Saturday.
