Most schools in the Rainy River District School Board will be recognizing Orange Shirt Day on Oct. 1. Staff and students are encouraged to wear orange on Monday.

I am very proud to announce that I am running to become one of the two Fort Frances trustees on the Rainy River District School Board.

I bring experience in law, policy, and community organizing to this role. I am a lawyer who practices family, criminal, and real estate law in Fort Frances, and I also serve as the Co-Chair of Borderland Pride and as Vice-President of the Rainy River District Law Association. I have extensive public policy experience from my time with the Ontario Public Service.

With vital curriculum topics currently under scrutiny in Ontario, I am in this race to bring a common sense, forward-thinking perspective to our public school board in order to ensure that our students and young people get the resources and supports that they need to navigate higher education, the workforce, and our diverse society successfully.
