Stephen has been part of the Gander Flight Training (GFT) and Evas Air family for quite some time. He completed all of his flight training through GFT and joined Evas Operations, where he spent more than three years as a Flight Follower.

During his time as a flight follower, Stephen became a familiar and friendly face to many of our customers. His professionalism, knowledge and commitment to providing great customer service made him a valued member of our team — and we know many of our customers will be happy to see that familiar face now joining them onboard!

After years of supporting our operations from the ground, we're excited to see Stephen take the next step in his aviation career and bring that same dedication and experience to the flight deck.

Gander Flight Training is looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking team player to join our fast-paced environment and work closely with our flight training and airline teams.

This is a diverse role that will provide administrative support across Gander Flight Training (GFT), EVAS Air, and our management team, while also supporting student services, invoicing, inventory, and social media.

✈️ What You’ll Be Doing
- Organizing and maintaining administrative and operations files
- Preparing reports, memos, documents, spreadsheets, and databases
- Managing incoming and outgoing mail, courier deliveries, faxes, and general emails
- Maintaining office supplies and inventory
- Updating and maintaining organizational databases and records
- Providing administrative and secretarial support to management, the CEO/CFO, and staff
- Coordinating travel, meetings, appointments, and other arrangements
- Assisting with invoicing and inventory control
- Supporting student services
- Managing social media content
- Providing general administrative support and assisting with other duties as required

💼 What We’re Looking For
- Diploma in Office Administration, Business Administration, or related experience (2+ years of relevant experience will be considered)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication, proofreading, and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with Adobe/Photoshop is an asset
- Ability to prioritize and manage a busy, time-sensitive workload
- Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a team
- Strong customer service skills and a professional telephone manner
- Self-motivated, diplomatic, innovative, and willing to take on new challenges
A Ability to effectively handle and resolve day-to-day issues in a professional manner

Please join us in welcoming First Officer Jirayu (Dee) Khampangpetch to the EVAS Air team!

Dee’s aviation journey began back in 2019, when he made the big move from Thailand to Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador, as part of our training partnership with Rangsit University.

After completing his flight training, Dee decided he liked Gander — and Newfoundland life — so much that he decided to stay! He went on to complete his Flight Instructor Rating with Gander Flight Training (GFT) and spent the past couple of years building valuable experience as an instructor, helping train the next generation of pilots.

Now, we’re excited to have Dee take the next step in his career as a First Officer with EVAS Air. 🛫

Dee’s journey is a great example of the opportunities available through GFT and EVAS. From starting your flight training in Gander, to becoming an instructor and gaining experience, to eventually making the transition into commercial aviation — there are many different paths and opportunities to build a career right here in Newfoundland.

We’re proud to see one of our former students continue to grow within the organization and are excited to have him officially join the EVAS crew!

September 11, 2001 was a day that changed the aviation world forever. Twenty-five years later, the memories and the impact are still very real.

At EVAS Air, aviation is something we're fortunate to be part of every day. We know that every flight is about more than getting from one place to another - it's about people, families, and getting home safely to the ones who are waiting for you.

Today, our thoughts are with everyone who lost a loved one, those who responded with courage, and all those whose lives were forever changed that day.

We remember the lives lost. We remember the families and friends. And we remember.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our former colleague and dear friend.

While no longer with Evas Air, David remained a cherished member of our extended family. His dedication, kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering support left a lasting impact on so many of us.

The friendships built during his time with our company extended far beyond the workplace and will never be forgotten.

Today, we remember not only a valued team member, but someone who helped shape the culture and spirit of Evas Air. We are grateful for the memories, the laughter, and the time we shared together.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched during this difficult time.
