This evening was a powerhouse of a night at the Bluffs on Huron community group north of Goderich to raise funds for the Alexandria Marine and General Hospital foundation for there magnetic moments campaign. To raise funds for the community and the shoreline and all of Huron county for MRI machine to be built at our local hospital in Goderich . Tonight was fast talk and the gavel down 🔨 with both a silent and live auction . The live auction handle by Gordon Brindley founder and President of Brindley Auctions of Dungannon Lucknow and Markdale locations, Doing the auctioneering and generosity of putting together some great lots for sale for the sale . I am so very proud of to support this amazing campaign . 📸📸📸📸❤️❤️❤️❤️.

Fun times in the Town of Goderich this afternoon . Life as a GOAT 🐐.

GOAT GRAZING AT SUNSET PARK
Beginning September 14th, the Town of Goderich will launch an innovative goat grazing project to help manage invasive vegetation along the water infrastructure corridor beside Sunset Park.
This natural approach will help improve access to critical water infrastructure while supporting environmental stewardship.

WHY USE GOATS?
The steep lakeside corridor is difficult to maintain using traditional equipment.
Goats can:
✅ Reach steep and wet terrain
✅ Reduce invasive vegetation naturally
✅ Minimize soil disturbance
✅ Reduce reliance on herbicides near Lake Huron
The project will focus on improving access to the hydro and water infrastructure serving the community.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
After grazing is complete, the area will be seeded with native plants to help stabilize the slope and encourage healthy vegetation growth.
Town staff will monitor results to determine whether goat grazing could become part of a long-term vegetation management strategy.
