Tribute Studios was established in Goderich, Ontario in 2017.
Our services and clientele are wide-ranged, from a 5 year old getting her ear lobes pierced, to an 86 year old getting their first tattoo. ABOUT THE ARTIST
Matt Cottrell is an accomplished modification artist with a professional manner, dark aesthetic, and a wide range of services. He has been praised by professionals and his loyal client base for his extensive procedural knowledge and his calm, comforting demeanour. Matt was voted as one of the best and most trustworthy piercers in North America by an online industry poll. He treats every procedure with equal attention and artistry - from a routine ear, facial or nose piercing, to microdermal implants, dermal punches, genital and corset piercings, to the most intricate scarification or tattoo. Matt started out in the industry making his own body piercing jewellery by hand, later becoming a body piercer himself. His reputation as a body piercer has allowed him to travel all across Canada. Matt is seriously passionate about his craft and has dedicated his life to it. He enjoys learning about different cultures and traditions, studying tribal rituals, rites of passage and their significance and incorporating these ideas into his work. He is constantly exploring new techniques of body modification and developments in the industry. He has a great knowledge of human anatomy and physiology and uses many tools from the medical field. Matt has done outstanding scarification work within existing tattoos and is happy to consult with you about your body modification or tattoo concept, whether it be a standard procedure or an unusual idea. Matt has been practicing body modification for 25 years, and tattooing for 10 years.

Safe to say the shop energy was off the charts this week!
Huge thanks to guest artist Matthew Ellis for dropping into Tribute Studios and working his absolute magic.
Having both Matts in the same room for two days felt less like a guest spot and more like a high-level wizard duel.
Decades of friendship, way too much combined tattooing power, and a total force to be reckoned with. (Honestly, weāre just glad the shop is still standing!!
This will not be Mattās last visit so stay tuned for your chance to get tattoo by the man himself!

š Happy Canada Day week, everyone! š

First off, we are incredibly proud to be Canadian and so grateful for this amazing community. To celebrate, we are keeping the doors open on Canada Day itself from 10:00 to 5:00 āso come on by and celebrate with us!..But here is the catch:
To make sure our incredible team doesnāt accidentally run entirely on caffeine and pure willpower, we will be CLOSED this Friday for some much-needed staff rest and relaxation. šļøāļøš
In all sincerity, our team puts their absolute heart, soul (and a lot of back muscles) into everything they do here. Giving them a dedicated day to step away, recharge, and completely unplug is our way of making sure they stay healthy, inspired, and ready to bring their absolute best to you when we reopen on Saturday!
