As the 2026 baseball season comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who helped make this such a successful and memorable year for Goderich Minor Baseball.
What a season it has been!
We are incredibly proud of the growth we have seen throughout our organization in 2026. From our youngest players taking their first swings and learning the fundamentals, to our older teams competing at a high level, it has been fantastic to see our players develop their skills, confidence, teamwork, and love for the game.
None of this would be possible without the tremendous support of our coaches, assistant coaches, team managers, volunteers, umpires, recreation staff, field maintenance crews, and board members. These individuals dedicated countless hours behind the scenes and at the ball diamonds to provide our players with a positive and enjoyable baseball experience.
To everyone who volunteered their time this season — thank you! Your commitment to our players and to our community is what makes Goderich Minor Baseball such a special organization.
We would also like to thank all of our parents and families. Thank you for getting your players to practices and games, volunteering when needed, cheering from the sidelines, and supporting not only your own children but all of our Seahawks players. Your involvement makes a tremendous difference.
Most importantly, we want to congratulate all of our players on a fantastic season. We hope you are proud of everything you accomplished in 2026 and that you are already looking forward to getting back on the diamond!

To protect the health and safety of all players, coaches, and families, Goderich Minor Baseball follows the Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) used by Environment Canada and the Ontario Ministry of the Environment. The AQHI helps determine when outdoor baseball and fastball activities should continue, be modified, or be postponed.

Activities may proceed, but coaches will:
• Increase water and rest breaks

• Monitor players closely, especially those with asthma or other respiratory conditions
High Risk (AQHI 7–10)
Outdoor baseball and fastball activities—including practices, games, and tournaments—will be cancelled or rescheduled.
Very High Risk (AQHI 10+)
All outdoor physical activity is strongly discouraged. No baseball or fastball activities will take place.

Happy Canada Day! 🇨🇦🇨🇦
06/29/2026
We are excited to announce that Goderich Minor Baseball will be participating in this year’s Canada Day Parade on Wednesday, July 1st! We are looking forward to representing our baseball community and celebrating Canada Day together. 🇨🇦
The parade will begin at 2:00 PM, and our GMBA float will be arriving and getting organized at 1:00 PM. All players participating in the parade must arrive no later than 1:45 PM so we have time to get everyone organized before the parade begins.
Our parade position is #34, located along Wellington / Elgin Avenue. Please refer to the attached parade route map for additional details on our location.
A few important details:
Younger players will have the opportunity to ride on the float during the parade.
Older players/athletes will walk alongside the float, help represent GMBA, and hand out treats to spectators along the parade route.
Please have kids arrive wearing their GMBA gear (hat//jersey) so we can show off our baseball community! Baseball pants are NOT required. Shorts are perfectly acceptable.
With the parade taking place in the afternoon, please be mindful of the heat and sun exposure. We ask that parents ensure their children come prepared with:
A water bottle (please ensure your child has enough water for the duration of the parade)
Sunscreen applied before arrival
A hat and appropriate clothing for the weather
At the end of the parade, parent pick-up will take place at the large parking lot at Bannister Park (180 McDonald St, Goderich) . Please plan to meet your child there once the parade has finished.
We are looking forward to a great afternoon and hope to see lots of our players and families out supporting GMBA as we celebrate Canada Day!
Thank you for being part of our baseball community.
