Today is BC Rivers Day! In celebration of moving water, Outdoor Recreation Council of BC .ca has a video contest you can enter to share “why you love rivers” for your chance to win a prize from Mustang Survival. The deadline is October 15, and we’d love to see your entry if you submit one.

We’ll be celebrating rivers in our own personal ways today, and we hope you will too. You could go for a paddle, do a clean up along a river bank, take a beloved dog for a swim, or simply pause to admire the flow when you next cross over the pedestrian bridge.

Come help us celebrate the 25th anniversary of the building of the timber frame pedestrian bridge over the Kicking Horse River! We’ll be there tomorrow, Saturday, September 26th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will be a casual community BBQ hosted by the Club of Golden, BC , live music, and a few short speeches from people who were involved in the original bridge project.
