Built on a mountain plateau, the town faces south towards the Continental Divide and the pristine Wilmore Wilderness Park. An elevation of 4200 feet gives a panoramic view of 21 mountain peaks and 2 river valleys. Grande Cache offers outstanding outdoor adventure, relaxed lifestyle, and unparalleled potential. Escape into a land of sparkling lakes, rushing rivers, green valleys, and windswept peaks. Nestled on a mountain plateau at 1280 m (4200 ft.), Grande Cache is 214 km (130 mi.) northwest of Jasper National Park in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The Bighorn Highway 40 provides a paved corridor connecting Hinton, Alberta with Mile Zero of the Alaskan Highway at Dawson Creek, British Columbia. This is the shortest, most scenic route to Alaska from the United States. Grande Cache is the Gateway to Willmore Wilderness Park, Alberta’s greatest mountain treasure. Willmore Wilderness Park has an abundance of trails, big game, alpine flowers, and spectacular waterways. To protect its natural splendour, no motorized vehicles are permitted; visitors can access the park by horseback or on foot. Outside the park, Grande Cache offers outdoor adventures with endless trails for motorized activities that include 4WD, all-terrain vehicles and snowmachines. Fishing, golfing, kayaking, canoeing, rafting, wildlife viewing and photographic opportunities await all visitors. Grande Cache has an excellent choice of shops, campgrounds, accommodations, restaurants, and evening entertainment. Those who want a true wilderness experience can stay in a backcountry lodge. Rates are reasonable, with a small town hospitality, all geared to entice you to stay. The Grande Cache Tourism and Interpretive Centre can provide all your tourism information needs; our friendly staff encourages you to explore our history and culture.

BERLAND SUB-REGIONAL PLAN — ONLINE INFORMATION SESSION
Engagement on the Draft Berland Sub-regional Plan: Recreation and Tourism
An online meeting will be held to provide information about the draft Berland Sub-regional Plan, which was released for public engagement on August 14, 2026.

The Chamber has been advised that a public meeting concerning the proposed All Seasons Resort will be held at the Grande Cache Legion on Thursday, September 10, 2026.
We understand that there may be both an afternoon and an evening session. However, the Chamber has not yet received official confirmation of the meeting times or other details.
We will share further information as soon as it becomes available.

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that we are officially opening our doors to the public on Tuesday, July 21st!
To ensure our team can give you the absolute best experience possible while they get comfortable with our brand-new menu, our opening phase will be RESERVATION ONLY. This helps us keep things controlled, smooth, and delicious for everyone!

Almost a week has gone by, and now that the dust has settled, we've had a chance to reflect on what an incredible Canada Day it was. ❤️🍁
Planning an event like this is no small task. There are so many moving parts from permits and logistics to sponsors, volunteers and of course hoping the weather cooperates.
We want to extend our sincerest thank you to every sponsor, every volunteer, and everyone who helped behind the scenes, we couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you to our fire department for setting off the fireworks, it was a beautiful show!
And to everyone who came out to celebrate with us,
thank you. Seeing families, friends, and our community come together is what makes all the hard work worthwhile.
We are so grateful to be part of such an amazing community. Thank you for making Canada Day 2026 one to remember! ❤️🇨🇦
