Are you leaving town and need a place for your dog while having peace of mind? We are your solution! We specialize in K9 training and boarding.
Our boarding facility opened in January 2015 and we have enjoyed every single guest since. We are excited to announce the opening of a brand new facility in June 2016. We not only love to care for dogs and cater to the individual personality of each and every one, we made it a lifestyle. Our services for the public include:
Dog Boarding and Dog Training
We also breed, raise, train and race our own Alaskan Husky sled dog team. Our breeding program is not commercial and is limited to two or three litters a year. With that we only breed enough new comers to maintain a young and strong team to compete in the big races and don't contribute to an over stimulated dog population. We are well aware of the overflow in animal shelters. The Alaskan Husky is not a pure breed but has a lot of history and is defined by its purpose - sled dog! They may look like a mutt but are high performance athletes! Every breeding is well thought through and pedigrees are studied and analyzed. Our kennel is filled with some of the best athletes there are world wide. No other living being can travel further and faster than the Alaskan Husky. We consider our dogs some of the happiest dogs out there because they are living their purpose and they know it. They have a job and they love to run. Sometimes we are looking to find a forever home for a dog from our own breeding if he/she is retiring from the sport and has the right personality/would adapt well into a different home. So keep your eye out if you are looking to adopt a sled dog. They make great hiking or ski-joring companions up to an old age! We will announce here. Our K9 experience goes back 20+ years. Aaron has been working with his Alaskan Huskies since the age of 13. He has raced in the world’s most prestige races and learned from the best in the sport as well as worked alongside the best veterinarian out there who pay very close attention to the dogs long before and during those events. Our local vet – Dr. Barth – has been working with us and our huskies for a long time and we have learned a lot along the way. Eva, has been working with pets more than working dogs and has done a lot of obedience training. Our motto is "Active Dogs are Happy Dogs"! 🐾 Celebrating Bonnie - Five Incredible Years 🐾
After five years of being such an important part of Elevation Dogs, Bonnie is stepping back into a well-deserved semi-retirement.
It is hard to put into words just how much Bonnie has given to our kennel over the past five years. Her dedication, loyalty, hard work, dependability, and genuine care for the dogs entrusted to us have been incredible. She has cared for thousands of dogs, gotten to know so many of their quirks and personalities, built relationships with their families, answered countless questions, solved countless problems, and helped keep this place running in more ways than most people will ever know.
For many of you, Bonnie has been one of the familiar faces you have come to know and trust when you leave your dogs with us, and we know how much that matters.
While Bonnie is stepping away from the day-to-day responsibility of running the kennel, she isn’t disappearing completely. We’re lucky to still have her available to fill in occasionally, answer questions, and - as we joked at her retirement party - management reserves the right to beg for help when necessary. 😊❤️
As Bonnie passes the torch, Britny and Ashley will be taking on the responsibilities she has carried. They may be younger members of our team, but they are incredibly capable, responsible, hardworking young women who have earned our trust. We have complete confidence in them, and they care deeply about doing things well and continuing the standard of care our clients expect from Elevation Dogs.
And, of course, they aren’t doing it alone. We remain a team, and Bonnie has left behind five years’ worth of experience, knowledge and example for all of us to build on.
Bonnie, thank you. Thank you for showing up, for caring, for leading, for being dependable, for loving on so many dogs, for taking care of our clients, for giving so much of yourself and to have been a wonderful friend over these last five years!!
You have absolutely left your mark on this place, and we are so grateful for you.

Happy Easter to our entire Elevation family! May it be a blessed day for you all!
We didn’t find any eggs but a stray pup who wandered into our yard this weekend…
We noticed multiple fb posts suggesting that he had been roaming the area for about a week now so we ended up taking him to the vet to check for a chip but they didn’t find one. He is now at the pound and will be there for 5 days. If no one claims him by then he’ll hopefully be move to a rescue shelter. If you know anything about this friendly fellow please let us know or call the pound.

Dear Elevation clients,
Our range road has not been graded for several days, and with yesterday’s warmer temperatures and heavy snow, road conditions became very challenging. Unfortunately, several people needed assistance getting unstuck.
I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. I have contacted the County of Grande Prairie No 1 and they have forwarded my message to the grading department. We’re hopeful the graders will be out today.
If you have the option, please choose a truck over a car when coming out.👌
