We are excited to officially announce our Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting, and we want you to come celebrate with us!

The Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce is helping us mark this milestone on Tuesday, September 29. The evening runs from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with the official ribbon cutting at 4:45 PM. This building was designed to bring local businesses, makers, artists, food, and entertainment together under one roof, and this event is all about recognizing the community effort that got us here.

Drop by to tour the spaces, meet the vendors, and experience what downtown's newest community hub is all about. Our resident vendors will be open and showcasing what they do best, so come ready to explore, try a few things, and check out some special event features while you wander through the building.

As a reminder, our doors are closed today, Wednesday, September 16, due to the scheduled ATCO power pole replacements.

The building is completely without power, so all of our indoor vendors and food services are taking the day off. We will be right back at it tomorrow morning for our regular Thursday hours.

If you placed an order with The Homestead or A Counter Full, their parking lot pickup is still a go for this evening.

We have a quick heads-up about our schedule for this week. On Wednesday, September 16, The Blue Building Project will be closed for the day.

ATCO is doing some scheduled utility work to replace power poles in our area, which means our power will be completely cut off. Because of this, most of our businesses and all of our indoor food services will be closed. It is just a one-day disruption, and everything will be back to normal first thing on Thursday morning.

However, you can still get your local grocery fix. Both The Homestead Farm and A Counter Full are running an evening pickup service right out of our parking lot on Wednesday. Keep an eye on their socials for details on how you can grab your farm-fresh staples and cheese.

We really appreciate everyone's patience while the utility crews do their work. We will see you all on Thursday.

If you've walked through the building lately, you might have noticed something new is taking shape.

The Little Blue Market started out as a simple way for rotating local makers to grab a single day of the week in the building. It was a great start, but we wanted to build something that gives our community of makers a real, permanent downtown retail presence. So, The Little Blue Market is moving into a brand new, bigger space inside the building, and it is shifting into a full-time collaborative retail storefront, launching on Thursday, September 17!

Instead of rotating in and out for a single day, vendors' products will stay in the shop permanently throughout the fall and winter seasons. To keep the doors open during regular daytime, evening, and weekend hours, our makers are teaming up to share the responsibility of working shifts behind the counter. It means more consistency for you, more stability for our creative startups, and a massive selection of handmade gifts, apparel, art, and home goods available whenever you walk through the doors. It is going to make it easier than ever to discover a new favorite local brand or check names off your holiday shopping list in one quick trip.
