I’ve heard from a lot of people they didn’t see us at the Halifax Oddities show last weekend, (we were just about dead centre in the arena in the centre isle) so I just was wondering if people would be willing to share some feedback on our display and how we could have been more visible/noticeable/attractive.
Market displays are something that are constantly evolving and growing for us and this was our biggest set up ever so it definitely posed some challenges but was also exciting in the range of product we were able to bring, but we were sad to hear so many of our regulars didn’t see us while they were there. We will never be able to compete with the decor of some booths who have been doing it for a decade or more, we just don’t have the space to be able to transport much more, but I’m constantly looking to improve and grow.

Times are tough for everyone right now, but the putting your money into small local businesses instead of big box stores and internet giants could literally mean the difference between a PB&J sandwich or a balanced meal for many makers. We notice your purchase and are more grateful than you can know!
So as we head into spooky season and then the holiday season, consider shopping small and local. There are so many amazing weekend markets that take place all fall, check a few out. Send a small business a DM on Instagram or FB, if you’re searching Etsy try using the location filters.

We have 3 markets booked for this fall and are waiting to hear about a couple more. I’m totally going to burn myself out in October but I’m hoping to have a market almost every weekend if not every weekend.

Adam and I want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who came out yesterday to the Halifax Oddities & Curiosities Show ! We had an absolutely amazing time as always then came home and promptly crashed 😆. This is one of our absolute favourite shows to do and this year was no different.
It is always so well organized (a massive thank you Brandon and amazing team of volunteers), and everyone who attends makes it such a fun and lively environment where we always feel right at home! And we can’t forget to mention all of the incredible vendors! It really is such a special event.
We already can’t wait for the 5th anniversary next year in 2027!!! It’s going to be amazing.
