And home we go, thank you to everyone who followed along with our fieldwork out in the LaHave Islands this week.
Many passionate people have helped grow our Conservation Freediving to what it is today; a way to not only do fieldwork but to connect with the ocean, youth, communities, and bring people closer to these marine ecosystems.
A couple words from Chris our Executive Director at CPAWS-NS, who played a key role in making it all happen!
We began our time on the LaHave Islands with ceremony. These lands and waters have been important to the Mi’kmaq since time immemorial.
Thank you Elder Todd Labrador Todd Labrador and Knowledge Keeper Melissa Labrador toaq'ay'nibi - Ma'lisa Apuisteke'katik - M. Labrador for sharing with us.
