Great celebration with friends at Hamilton City Hall today as the Nigerian Canadian Association of Hamilton hosted a flag-raising ceremony for Nigeria’s 66th Independence Day.
Time spent with NCA folks is always a good time.
Happy Nigerian Independence Day to my Nigerian friends - in Hamilton, across Canada and elsewhere 💚🤍💚

Great day for a walk in support of a good cause, and in good company.
Today, I attended the annual True Patriot Love Foundation Canadian Walk For Veterans. This was the second year for the walk in Hamilton, and it has grown exponentially since last year thanks to the leadership of local organizer Greg Wilkinson. Well done Greg - and all who attended.
And most importantly, to all of our veterans and those serving our country today: thank you for your service and sacrifice 🫡🇨🇦

Just before politics became all-consuming over the summer, I became a Rotarian. This past week, I gave my classification talk to fellow members of The Rotary Club of Hamilton Stoney Creek.
I am very excited to serve my community - locally and globally - alongside a group of smart, inspiring and generous people.
Thank you to Marcia Mohammed for roping me in and sponsoring me 😎🙌🏻
Octoberfest in the Hammer!
Yesterday, my boys and I stopped by the Germania Club of Hamilton for their annual Octoberfest celebration. There were games for kids, music, dancing, and a great atmosphere. Thank you to the staff and volunteers at the Germania Club for a wonderful afternoon and evening. PROST!

Today, folks across Canada got together for the annual Terry Fox Run. It was a nice morning for a brisk walk at Gage Park - in support of cancer research. Thank you to the local organizers Anna and Jane for running the show at Gage Park 😎🙌🏻

Before the Canadian Walk For Veterans came to his Hamilton hometown last year, Greg Wilkinson showed his support by doing solo Virtual Walks. Now he's stepped up even more: co-leading the 2026 Hamilton Walk next weekend, and turning his commitment to supporting Veterans into an opportunity to bring his community together.
Read Greg's story on our blog and learn what inspired him to take the next step as Team Lead: https://truepatriotlove.com/blog-posts/from-going-solo-to-lets-go-volunteers-take-the-lead-at-the-canadian-walk-for-veterans/

Awesome Monday night at The Zoetic! It was an evening on Women in Politics with the Honourable Catherine McKenna and MP Lisa Hepfner. So much insight on life in politics, leadership and much more.
It was exciting to meet Catherine again - so exciting that I forgot to check on the book in our selfie 🥳
Thank you to the Hamilton Mountain FLA for organizing.
Thursday last week, the people of Hamilton East—Stoney Creek made their choice in a provincial by-election. Congratulations to Jeff Beattie on his election win.
A round of thank yous: To the roughly one in four voters who supported me, and to everyone who knocked doors, made calls, put up a sign, donated, shared a post, or simply stopped to say hello — thank you.
I’m grateful for your trust, and for the many people I had the chance to meet along the way.
For now, I’m looking forward to more time with my family, getting back to work, and continuing to be part of the community I call home.
Again, thank you to the people of Hamilton East—Stoney Creek. I’ll see you out and about.
