This weekend many of us are in Ottawa for the Canadian Police Memorial. You can also show your support with the purchase of Police and Peace Officers Memorial Pins. These pins are worn in memory of a Line of Duty Death and on the last Sunday of September. $6 each with proceeds supporting the Peace Officers Memorial Ribbon Society.

Hamilton Police ICE Unit Coin:
Protecting the vulnerable in society, especially children is the highest of calling for police. Those that work in ICE have an important job and don’t get enough credit for what they do. Well now at least there’s an ICE coin.

Cadet Coin: The Cadet program, since it was reintroduced, has assisted in the development and training of future Police Officers. Already, many of our current officers started as Hamilton Police Cadets. They have made significant contributions to policing in Hamilton. Well, now they have their own coin. If you are a cadet, former cadet, or you simply love HPS Challenge Coins, then purchase the new HPS Cadet Challenge Coin. The Badge side features the Regimental Badge of the Hamilton Police Service as approved by the Canadian Heraldic Authority and His Majesty King Charles. The Unit side features the logo elements of our HPS Flash and a shield featuring a Cityscape, the Skyway bridge and water to represent our Harbour, our numerous waterways and waterfalls and reflect the elements of our logo. The shield is surrounded by olive branches which represent peace and the keeping of the peace that our Cadets assist with in our community. At the bottom is a flash rocker that says Cadet. Thank you to former cadet Natalie Galletti for coming up with a great design and pushing for Cadets to be represented with their own coin. This will certainly be one to add to your collection throughout your career.

Hamilton Police Service Challenge Coin Rank Coins:
HPS is one of the first Services in Canada to update their ranks to include the Canadian Royal Crown for King Charles. The set includes the rank emblems for Chief, Deputy Chief, Superintendent, Inspector, Staff Sergeant, Sergeant, Constable, & Special Constable Ranks are set into a metallic Ontario Flag background. Coins are $23 each. Remember the whole set can still be purchased in a velour display case that includes a large retro badge.
