Good evening Ward 4 neighbours 🌙 Please be advised that the intersection of Ottawa Street North and Main Street East will be fully closed starting today, Monday, August 17, for approximately four months.
The closure is required to allow for infrastructure upgrades as part of the LRT project.
Drivers travelling through the area should plan ahead, allow extra time for their commute, and follow posted signage and any temporary traffic restrictions in place.
We understand that a closure of this length may cause some inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience as this important work moves forward.
Thank you for your understanding!

At 1437 Main street East in Hamilton.
A few like minded individuals are organizing a community meeting for Hamilton residents who are concerned about the recent soot fallout, air quality, and the lack of clear answers.

This is a chance for like-minded residents to come together, share concerns, ask questions, and discuss what we would like addressed before the upcoming Stelco meeting.
You can attend in person or join live online.
Online details TBD.
We deserve answers, transparency, and clean air.

Good Morning Ward 4 neighbours ☀️ Please be advised of upcoming overnight street sweeping operations on the Red Hill Valley Parkway. To complete this work safely while minimizing impacts on traffic, the City will be using a phased, rolling partial closure along the highway shoulders.
The work will take place overnight from Sunday, July 13 to Wednesday, July 16, from 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. and will include both northbound and southbound shoulders of the Red Hill Valley Parkway.
Crews will begin by sweeping the outside shoulders before moving to the inside shoulders. Drivers travelling through the area overnight should use caution, follow posted signage, and expect temporary lane restrictions near active work areas.
Please note that this work is weather dependent and schedules may change if required.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as crews complete important maintenance work.
