899 β‘οΈ 906 π New Rating PB π₯
Happy Rating Update Day everyone! π₯³
Woke up to a belated birthday present today - a new career-high PDGA rating of 906! π
After a brief dip below 900 from some early season rust, I jumped 7 rating points and finally clawed my way back over that mark.
Breaking 900 has been one of my biggest disc golf goals for a long time, so seeing that number climb all the way to 906 feels extra validating.
I've been playing some solid golf lately, but what excites me even more is that I still feel like I've left a lot of strokes out on the course. To me, that's a great sign of growth. The results are improving, but it also feels like there's still plenty of room to get better.
I know I have the skills, but I also genuinely feel like I couldn't have gotten here without the right tools.
A huge shoutout to for providing the discs that help make it happen. Having the right disc in your hand for every shot matters, and Kastaplast continues to deliver π₯ They listen to their players, keep innovating, and consistently add new molds to the lineup that quickly become favorites π
I'm incredibly grateful to have the support of such an amazing company, and I'm excited to keep building on this momentum and see what we can accomplish together π
How did rating update day treat you? Let me know in the comments ππ
πΈ Thanks to for this awesome snap!

ππ· SPRING THING 2026 π·π
I'm a few tournament recaps behind, but this one was too good not to share right away.
After a busy 3-week stretch of tournaments, I finished things on a high note at A Spring Thing hosted by . This past weekend, I shot my 2nd-highest rated round ever (963) and the highest event average of my disc golf career (944)! π₯³
And where else but Haute Goat - the same place where I shot my current PB (970) - all while playing the newer layouts blind ππ₯
It felt really good to put together two solid, relatively clean rounds. One of the biggest signs that my game is moving in the right direction is when I walk off the course feeling like there were still a few shots left out there, yet I still shoot over 900-rated. That's a much better place to be than needing everything to go perfectly to score well.
My π to success this weekend: playing with joy, throwing with intention, and trusting my discs - especially in the windy conditions. I leaned heavily on my Guld, Alva, Idog, and Falk to get the job done π₯πͺ
Although I was the only player in my division, I still had a little friendly competition with my buddy Mark and I managed to snag a rare victory in our ongoing head-to-head battle, but Mark earned his spot at Provincials, so I'd say we both came out winners. ππ
The sun was shining, the vibes were high, and I had an absolute blast playing with the awesome FP40 ladies BonBon and Jane all weekend, plus a new friend in MP50, Mike, on Sunday.
β¨ HIGHLIGHTS β¨
π¦ Turkey on three of the toughest holes during Round 2
π¦ Birdie on Hole 16 in both rounds
β Saved par on Hole 13 from the whites after hitting first available off the tee, laying up to the OB line, then parking the basket from 340+ feet
β
Stayed OB-free in Round 1
A huge thank you to Q***r Disc Golf and TinLid Disc Golf for putting on such a fun event in support of a great cause ππ³οΈβπ

Foxwood Open starts today! π¦
The practice round with my girl was a blast and I was really loving crushing lines with my Vass. The Gote was my surprise workhorse which is unexpected given this is known as a distance course π₯
This is one of my favorite courses and tournaments to play. Excited to get out and play! π₯
I tee off at 3:55 pm (weather permitting π¬). Let's get it! π₯

2nd Place - Winter Thaw 2026 π₯
A true tale of two rounds at White Spruce.
Round 1 was full of silly decisions, unfortunate rollaways, and missed putts from deep in C1 cost me a lot of strokes. I seemed to be allergic to pars π
Half-runs instead of routine layups? β
Running uphill testers? β
Not exactly the game plan.
But I finished strong with my first ever birdie on hole 20 (from reds) π¦ I flexed my trusty, beachy Vass to C1βs edge and cashed a big uphill putt to just sneak onto lead card for the final round π«£
That putt gave me life - and it showed in Round 2. Way cleaner, more controlled, and it felt so good to get revenge on a few holes. Even with an anticlimactic bogey on the final hole, I shot a 942-rated +2 and locked in 2nd place π₯³
White Spruce has always had my number but I'm proving to myself tourney after tourney that if you play smart and stay cool, you can make it out alive relatively unscathed.
Congrats to Colleen for the W, who is practically the Queen of Spruce at this point π We decided this year our tradition for FPO champs is to do a different group pose every tournament. I'm not sure what we were going for here, but it's still ICONIC β¨
Thanks to Spencer and the tourney crew for putting on another great event, and coming up with some fun temp holes (I might be biased as I away with the birdie on hole A both rounds π) π
Next tourney: Project15 Open at one of my fav courses in Ontario! Let's see how I do without a practice round π
