Soot info session and Dofasco Community Liaison Committee recap!

Last week, community members hosted an information session that included topics such as the history and impacts of soot, and how to file a pollution report.

Also last week, Dofasco held its quarterly community liaison committee meeting.

Attendees will learn from Ramani Nadarajah at the Canadian Environmental Law Association (CELA) about how Ontario’s broken air pollution regulations have contributed to unacceptable pollution levels in Hamilton and how we we can fix it.

Attendees will also hear from Environment Hamilton's clean steel campaign coordinator, Evan Ubene, about why now is the time to end special air quality exemptions for Hamilton’s steel industry and how this will support a clean steel transition in the city.
