A Neo Expressionist Painter from Hamilton Ontario, C Weaver uses saturated colours and heavy black line to create complex psychedelic creatures from his subconscious. C Weaver has shown all over Southern Ontario from Hamilton's own James St Art Crawls, to Group shows in Toronto. He has also had 2 solo exhibitions at Gallery 1051 in Hamilton with over 100 pieces in each showing. C Weaver creates art that people can continually find new and interesting things in his pieces. C Weaver uses a form of drawing called automatism where he allows his paint brush to do the thinking for him, he shuts off his brain and just paints. This really allows the art to take on multiple hidden meanings without C Weaver noticing them right away himself. He encourages his audience to seek their own meanings to his work and believes ambiguity allows the art to resonate with individuals on a higher level.
