Last Saturday we were invited by The Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals to be part of the Heritage trades event at The Cotton Factory building in Hamilton.
Local businesses who specialize in historical restoration were asked to display. It was a great networking opportunity and we met many interesting people in the restoration industry.

Always nice to go back and see a project we did after everything is completed. We fabricated and installed the Indiana grey limestone on this project and installed all the brick in 2024.

A recent small restoration project we completed in Hamilton Ontario.
The bricks pillars at the front of the residence had no foundation under them and were hollow inside .The brick was failing and the heavy Indiana limestone caps were looking like they might collapse along with the brick pillars.
Our team removed the Indiana limestone coping and took them to the workshop for cleaning and restoration.
We then dug down four feet below the frost line.Installed a proper concrete foundation, built concrete block to grade.
An Indiana limestone base course was installed on each pillar. The original Canadian bricks were cleaned and re used.New bricks were matched and installed as required.
The Indiana limestone caps were re installed after cleaning.
We were sub contracted for this project by fellow CAHP members Heritage Mill.
A small project but a lot of work by the whole crew.

Here is the front entrance archway that we recently finished installing at a project near Lakeshore Road in Oakville. We laid all the brick on this custom home. The Indiana limestone archway and all other Indiana limestone was fabricated in our Hamilton workshop by Richard and the lads.
The stone was installed on site by myself and the rest of the crew.
This house kept the crew busy for a good part of 2025.A great crew effort.

Some more photos of the pieces we fabricated for the Flat Iron building in Toronto. Main contractor HRI.
These are the ramp and twist archways at the North East corner of the building. Ramp and twist arches twist on two planes and are notoriously difficult to restore .The team did a wonderful job on these .We took templates made CAD drawings and took several of the original pieces back to the workshop to copy to make the replacements fit perfectly.
Richard and the shop crew did a lovely job.
The consultants on the project liked the new pieces so much that they have asked us to replace several other pieces in these arches that were not previously slated for replacement.
Often the way in masonry restoration. Replacements make the existing pieces next to them look a bit rough.
