CrossCulture is back and it’s happening this fall — a one-day worship and service event for teens in Hamilton.

Moreover, TrueCity is now a movement known throughout North America — not for what the movement has done, but for what the Lord has done in our midst.”

Our final Pastors Gathering of this ministry year happened last Wednesday and it was great to have so many familiar (and NEW!) friends join us. Being in the same room and spending time with each other around tables to discuss, connect and pray is always a gift, and we’re excited to see what God is going to do as we continue to discover ways to be churches together for the good of this city.

The TrueCity Leadership Team is delighted to introduce Alice Plug-Buist as our next Network Developer.

A longtime resident of Hamilton, Alice is well known across the city for her passion for serving “the least of these” and helping Christians grow in their love for God and neighbour. She will be wrapping up her time later this summer as the Executive Director for Helping Hands Street Mission, and she also has extensive leadership experience as a board member of City Housing Hamilton, the Barton Village BIA, and Indwell.

“It’s an incredible honour and joy for me to take on the role with TrueCity. Jesus prayed for me and for all of us just before he went to the cross, and his prayer as that we would be “together”, so that the world might know that God sent Jesus. I am excited to take up the task of encouraging churches across Hamilton to find ways to work together, toward the greatest good of our City.”

We believe the Lord has brought Alice into this role for such a time as this, as we believe her experience in leadership, giftings, passion, and heart for cultivating unity will help the network continue to mature and thrive as Churches Together for the Good of the City.

We’re so excited to gather for an evening of worship together. We hope you will join us.

This Friday evening we will have the opportunity to celebrate Pentecost together with others in the city. Coming together and worshipping God in the same room with others is always a sweet experience, and we hope you can join us.

(Don’t forget to bring some new pairs of socks and underwear for Philpott’s “Church at the Table” ministry, as well as some treats to share with each other at the “Snackluck” immediately following the worship service).
