Emily Kirkpatrick - Virtual Assistant Coach
I teach VAs the only strategy ever needed to get clients.
09/16/2026
If finding VA clients feels way more complicated than it should, come hang out with me on October 5th.
I’m hosting a FREE workshop called The VA Jumpstart and I’m breaking client getting down into 3 decisions:
Who do you want to work with?
What are you going to offer them?
And how are you going to connect with them?
There are SO many ways to find clients, and you don’t need to be doing all of them.
You need to know who you’re looking for, how you can help them, and choose a way to actually get in front of them.
That’s what we’re figuring out together.
Whether you’re trying to sign your very first VA client or you’ve been doing this for a while and need your next one, this workshop is for you.

Summer Emily was a little slack with her business. Intentionally! Beach days, camping weekends, morning park trips and backyard hangs with my kids were the priority this summer and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
September Emily has big goals.
If you’ve been waiting for the kids to go back to school, your routine to return to normal, or your brain to start functioning normally again, same!
This is your reset.
Decide what you want to accomplish this month then choose the actions you’re willing to repeat until you get there. Every single week.
What are you working toward this September?
A few months without a client does not automatically mean your entire business needs to be rebuilt.
I would look for the exact point where opportunities are disappearing.
Are enough people finding you?
Are you starting conversations?
Are those conversations continuing?
Are you inviting people to work with you?
Are you booking discovery calls?
Are people signing after the calls?
Each answer leads us toward a different solution.
This is why my clients receive personalized strategies. Your plan should be built from what is actually happening inside your business.
If you want my eyes on yours, send me a message with the word CLIENTS. Tell me how long it has been since you signed a client and what you’ve been trying.
More slow mornings.
More spontaneous bike rides.
More summers that actually feel like summers.
More “yes, let’s go” when my kids ask me to come outside.
I built my Virtual Assistant business because I wanted work that could fit around my family (and income that gave us more choices)
That kind of flexibility came from building real skills, signing good clients and making intentional decisions about how I wanted my business to operate.
I help other moms build profitable VA businesses around the lives they want to be present for.
Want me to show you how to build a VA business that gives you more time with your kids and more control over your income?
Drop a 🙋♀️ below. I’ll message you and show you what I’d have you focus on first.
This is the stuff I built my business for.
Taking my kids to the park in the morning.
Being there for school drop offs and pickups.
Having the flexibility to stay home when someone is sick.
Earning my own money while building my work around the people who matter most to me.
While the money matters deeply (it gives my family choices, security and experiences), I want the time to enjoy the life that i always dreamed of. That’s time with my kids.
After nine years in business, this is still my definition of success. Meaningful work, amazing clients, good money and ordinary mornings with my kids.
What does success look like in your actual everyday life?
How much does your VA business actually need to earn?
“Enough to quit my job” needs a number.
Start with
• Your monthly take-home pay
• Any benefits or expenses you’ll need to replace
• Your business expenses
• The amount you want left after everything is paid
Then look at your services and calculate how many clients you need.
A $5,000 month could be:
• Five clients paying $1,000
• Ten clients paying $500
• Two $1,500 clients and four $500 clients
• A completely different combination that fits your capacity
Now we can examine whether your pricing, services, availability and client finding process support that goal.
Drop your monthly income goal below. I want to see the real number!!
I’ve never believed every Virtual Assistant should find clients the same way.
Some of my clients thrive through networking.
Some build incredible referral relationships.
Some create content that converts.
Some apply for job opps.
Some start conversations with people already in their world.
My job as a coach is to figure out where your strongest opportunities are, help you build a clear process and make sure you follow through long enough to see what it can produce.
I’ve spent nine years building my own VA business and six years helping hundreds of VAs build theirs.
I know how to look at what you’re doing and find the gap.
I’m opening two spaces in my four month private coaching program for VAs who are ready to sign clients and create consistent income.
DM me PRIVATE and tell me where you’re currently at.
Somehow finding clients as a Virtual Assistant started to get marketed like this:
Open an IG account, post a couple of times, tell people you’re taking on clients, watch the inquiries roll in.
That’s really not the way this works. So what do you need?
🔥 Clear positioning
🔥 Intentional outreach (not random or awkward)
🔥 Consistency beyond two weeks (ask me about my 30, 60, 90 day rule)
🔥 Strategy that fits YOU, not someone else
This is exactly what I help you create in Next Level VA. No one size fits all approach. No one strategy you HAVE to follow. We find what works for you and get you your first client in our first month working together.
Want to see if this is the right fit for you? Comment NEXT and we’ll chat.
Your client finding strategy needs to actually make sense for YOU.
I’ve coached hundreds of Virtual Assistants over the last 6 years, and one thing I’m incredibly confident about is that I could put 10 VAs in a room and give them 10 different plans for finding clients.
Here is what I want to know:
How much time do you have?
What are you actually willing to do consistently?
Where do you already have relationships?
What have you tried?
What worked?
What felt or would feel frigging awful?
Who do you want to work with?
That’s coaching.
I’m not interested in handing you MY favourite strategy, telling you to follow these steps and these steps only, and pushing through even when it feels horrible.
I want to figure out what makes sense for YOUR business and then help you stick with it long enough to get results.
If you’ve been struggling to figure out how the heck YOU should be finding clients, comment PLAN.
I started scared.
Didn’t have a website. No portfolio. I didn’t even know what I could offer. I had NO clue if this was actually going to work.
9 years later, my kids are home for the summer because I decided they could be. I don’t have to ask anyone for permission.
That’s what building my VA business gave me.
If you’re ready to build yours, I want to help you do it.
I’m looking for three VAs who are serious about signing their first or next client and building a business that actually changes their life.
Comment READY and I’ll message you.
