Chorus Hamilton is a Registered Charitable Arts Organization and is one of Hamilton’s finest choral ensembles. Founded in 1968 to participate in the opening of Mohawk College ’s Fennell Campus, the choir is now a 75 member semi-professional choral society. The ensemble performs a large variety of music – from fan favourites by ABBA and Queen to chamber music to the greatest large scale works in the choral repertoire with orchestral accompaniment and world class soloists. The choir collaborates regularly with orchestras and other symphonic choirs. Chorus Hamilton has been invited to perform with the University of Guelph Symphony, the Brantford Symphony Orchestra, the Redeemer University Sinfonia, the Hamilton Youth Orchestra and Symphony on the Bay. In addition, the choir has collaborated with the McMaster University Choir and Fanshawe Chorus London in several large scale choral events. The choir performs concerts throughout Southwestern Ontario.
You all took “we’re looking for new members” very seriously.
We came into the 2026/27 season with a whole plan to find more singers, especially lower voices.
(Seriously, 'I Got Friends in Low Places' was going to be a blast.)
Then referrals, social media, Google searches and being out in the city all started doing their job at once.
And now… look at this room! 🤩
We have more members than we ever imagined. The sound is gorgeous. The energy is wild. And we’ve got nothing but enthusiasm, giddiness and really big music coming your way.
We’re back, Hamilton.
Follow to see what this very full room gets up to.

Credit to
for creating this image that manages to capture an incredible amount of human experience.
At Chorus Hamilton, you'll find people from all walks of life. Different ages. Different beliefs. Different stories.
Some of our members are gay, straight, trans or are
questioning who they are.
All of us want to make music, and
find a little joy.
What matters here isn't who you love, how you identify, what you do for work, how much money you make, or where you come from.
What matters is that you belong.
Nobody should have to leave part of themselves at the door to sing in a choir.
Music has always been one of the ways human beings express who they are. Sometimes it helps us celebrate. Sometimes it helps us heal. Sometimes it simply reminds us that we're not alone.
We're proud to be a place where people can show up as themselves, make music together, and be welcomed exactly as they are.
Happy Pride Month. ❤️🏳️🌈

Last night was a reminder of why community arts matter.
Thank you to our guest artists, volunteers, musicians, choir members, and the 250 people who chose to spend their evening with us.
Every concert is the result of hundreds of hours of work from people who simply love music and want to share it.
We're grateful you were part of it.

Chorus Hamilton is a community choir.
That means our singers include teachers, retirees, students, healthcare workers, parents, shift workers, and people squeezing rehearsal in between the chaos of real life.
Every Tuesday night, people from all across Hamilton show up.
Not because they have to, but because music matters to them that much.
And when concert time comes, we hire incredible professional and semi-professional musicians to join us on stage. People who are deeply passionate about their craft and committed to bringing this music to life for the community.
That's the magic of community music.
Professional musicians. Community singers. One room full of people making something beautiful together.
Not exclusivity. Connection.
There's something pretty special about regular Hamiltonians deciding that singing Mozart together still matters in 2026.
