Our government is delivering $7.5B in new supports for Canadian workers and businesses impacted by U.S. tariffs, building on nearly $25B already provided.
We’re protecting Canadian jobs, defending our industries, and building a stronger, more resilient economy. 🇨🇦

Prime Minister Mark Carney’s statement Canada - U.S. trade negotiations:

I had a great time knocking on doors this morning in support of Tanveer Shahnawaz in the Beaches—East York byelection!
It was great meeting residents, hearing their concerns, and having conversations about the issues that matter most to their community.
There’s nothing quite like being on the ground, listening directly to voters, and working alongside dedicated volunteers. Best of luck to Tanveer and the entire team!
Pride 2026 was a blast!
Prime Minister Mark Carney, alongside the Premiers of Quebec and Newfoundland and Labrador, announced a historic agreement to upgrade and expand the Churchill Falls Generating Station and develop the Gull Island project and related transmission, building one of the largest electricity projects in North America.
As part of the federal-provincial agreements, the federal government will provide $10 billion in federal financing that will unlock $70 billion in clean-energy investments.
This investment is part of our focus on what we can control and help us reach our clean electricity commitment of net-zero by 2050.
That's how we are building Canada Strong!

It was a pleasure to welcome 40 new Canadians at a citizenship ceremony held at Hamilton Stadium!
These newly minted Canadians come from different backgrounds and bring a wealth of skills and experiences to our country from doctors and engineers to entrepreneurs and even chocolatiers.
Canada is stronger because of the people who choose to call it home. Congratulations to all our newest citizens, and welcome to the Canadian family! 🇨🇦

Today, we remember the more than 6,000 Allied service members who took part in the Raid on Dieppe on August 19, 1942, including 582 members of the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry.
By the end of the raid, 197 RHLI members had lost their lives, while many more were wounded or taken prisoner.
For Hamilton, this is a deeply significant part of our history. We remember the courage and sacrifice of those who served, the families who lost loved ones, and the veterans who carried the scars of war home with them.
The freedoms we enjoy today came at an extraordinary cost. It is our responsibility to ensure their sacrifices are never forgotten.
Lest we forget. 🇨🇦

Over the past two days, my Ontario Caucus colleagues and I have been hard at work preparing for the next parliamentary session here in Peterborough, with our amazing host Emma Harrison .
We’ve been sharing what we’ve been hearing from our constituents. From their concerns and priorities to their ideas and advocacy. These conversations help ensure we remain focused on the issues that matter most to the people we represent.
I look forward to bringing these priorities forward and continuing to deliver for the people of Hamilton Centre in the next parliamentary session.
