Some work we did about 2 months ago now out in the wild. A trap door and some wall panels (for covering things like mirrors and branded signage) for this The Score commercial.

This collaborative work between Judy Duggan-McCormack and Sean McCormack titled "Roll Call" has been accepted to the 2026 Pacific States Biennial North American Juried Print Exhibition in Hawai'i at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo University of Hawai'i at Hilo Mookini Library.

The work is a 26" x 13" block print on Tea paper, utilizing our laser cutter to engrave the large image on a piece of UV finished plywood (from McCormack Timber Supply Co.
as always)

About Roll Call:
Roll Call reflects on Hilo Boarding School, founded in 1836 for Native Hawai'ian boys. Six shirts and an empty hanger evoke the tension between individuality and an institution designed to educate the “head, heart and hand” during a period of profound cultural transition.

The exhibition will run from November 2nd, 2026 until January 14th, 2027. We'll share an image of it on display once it is available. Swipe for some behind the scenes and more images.

BIG 8' x 3' chroma key green plinths for a commercial leaving the shop today

Over the past couple of weeks we have helped transform the York Boulevard facing space of the Hamilton Farmers' Market in preparation for the Harvest Festival that started today.

This project included creating structures around the existing columns so they could run power and plumbing for vendors, a new "garage" area for them to store tables and chair when not in use, a variety of mobile kiosks for vendors to set up on, and some seasonally appropriate decor to cap it off.

We're really pleased with how it came out, the introduction of this UV coated Birch plywood really warms up the space, and it should prove to be super functional for all of the events, workshops, and pop up markets they are planning to host in this space.

Hot on the heels of Supercrawl weekend, there should be lots to talk about. What gallery openings did you make it to? What bands did you catch? Did you connect with a great artist or vendor? Come share what you saw and what inspired you.

September also means back to school and a whole new cohort joining Hamilton's creative community. If you know a first year art or design student, encourage them to start building their creative network early. If you are a recent grad and suddenly missing the community that came with being in school, come start building your professional one.

As always, bring yourself, bring something for show and tell, or bring an idea or project you want some help brainstorming. Artists, designers, craftspeople, makers, students, and curious creative folks are all welcome.

We're in set building mode this week and I can't share the current project yet. So instead here is a kitchen set we built a few weeks ago for a frozen cappuccino beverage commercial, will share some screenshots once we see it out in the world.

TD Coliseum gifted this awesome stained glass piece to Melanie Martinez ( melanie martinez ⟡ ) at their concert tonight.
We designed and laser cut this black acrylic display stand and name plate so they can show it off.

More rearranging in the shop as we make way for this MONSTER of a CNC machine.

82" x 144" cutting area (just under 7' wide by 12' long) and the 7.7 HP spindle will do 3/4" materials in 1 pass (doing 4 passes at that thickness on our current machine).

Picked this up at an auctionon Friday. Now to make space, get it plugged in, and put it's through its paces so we can put it to work on some big projects!
