The Town of Salisbury is saddened to learn of the passing of Retired Salisbury Fire Chief David Bannister.

Retired Chief Bannister was Salisbury Fire Rescue’s longest-serving Chief and a long-time member of the Department. He committed over 40 years to the Department as a member, eventually becoming Chief and serving in that role until 2022.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and members of Salisbury Fire Rescue.

As of tomorrow (September 22), Town flags will be lowered to half-mast in honour of his service to our Community.
