Upgrades to library software begin on September 25th and are estimated to be completed October 5th. While online library services will be temporarily unavailable, the library will still be open!
Internet and computer access at the library will be unaffected. Come visit to borrow books, DVDs, and other resources, attend a program or use our work and study spaces. Staff are happy to answer any questions about downtime.

Artist of the Month - Darrell Thompson
Recently, after participating in a documentary project about the town and seeing the animation and illustrations involved in the filmmaking process, Darrel was inspired to explore his own creativity. Visit the library before the end of the month to enjoy his exhibit and sale of cards.

Our Open Makerspace is for everyone! Even bunnies who absolutely NEED helicopter hats. Join us for this free, drop-in program on Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:30 or Friday from 2 to 6pm. Makers under 12 should bring an adult.

Avid eBook reader? Software upgrades starting September 25th will cause some online library resources to be temporarily unavailable. Be prepared by downloading eBooks ahead of time, and ensuring you are signed into Libby before the 25th.
The library will remain open during these upgrades and physical books can still be checked out. Stop by to use our computers and free internet, attend a program, or use our work and study spaces! Staff are happy to answer any questions about the upcoming downtime.

Want to discover some new mediums to create with? There are still spaces open for our introductory makerspace courses happening Saturday! Sign up to learn how to use the Glowforge laser cutting machine and our Prusa 3D printer. Completing these group introductory courses will allow you to use the machines during our biweekly open makerspace hours.

A photocopy of your ID is required when submitting your special ballot for the October 19th referendum. Copy your ID for free at High River Library from now until the deadline to submit your special ballot. To vote by mail, ensure you apply for a special ballot by the September 25th deadline.
