🚨 𝗢𝗙𝗙-𝗥𝗢𝗔𝗗 𝗩𝗘𝗛𝗜𝗖𝗟𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗛𝗜𝗕𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 🚨

📅 August 10, 2026

The BC Wildfire Service has announced an 𝗼𝗳𝗳-𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝘃𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 (𝗢𝗥𝗩) 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 for portions of the Coastal Fire Centre, (including Sunshine Valley) effective immediately as of Monday, August 10, 2026.

Due to the significant wildfire activity across B.C. and elevated fire danger ratings throughout southern regions of the province, this restriction has been put in place to help protect public safety and reduce the risk of additional wildfire starts.
