We still have a side (or 2 quarters) available and it was a smaller steer so it won’t break the bank!

So much to celebrate at the but we have to start with appreciation for David Porter for buying our Reserve Champion carcass lamb — our annual donation to the 88th Provincial Winter Fair scholarship fund (invested at BC Interior Community Foundation ) - and then donating it back to be resold with proceeds also going to the scholarship fund! And to benny_the_butcher_kmlps for buying it the second time!

We’ve been donating a lamb each year for ten years and have generated over $8000 for the scholarship fund! Our goal is to have the fund reach a point where it provides multiple awards to support PWF exhibitors pursuing post secondary studies. The fund has awarded $5000 to deserving youth so far!

We really appreciate the support of buyers like Benny and Desert Hills - Desert Hills has bought the lamb and donated it back a few times now! Your support makes this worthwhile!

PS Did you hear our carcass lamb was the reserve grand champion? 😮‍💨

A little late, but huge thanks to these amazing young people for looking after our heifers at the IPE beef show last weekend. Mirrah Webster for taking the halter on them, McKenna for fitting them, Caden and Jake for taking the clippers to them, and Grayce Andrew for the work at home! Appreciate you all so much.

It’s so great to see success for a kid who does the work and is polite and gracious and funny to boot!
