We are Todd & Josee and we started Double JT Ranch 11 years ago in Kamloops, BC. At the birth of our daughter we wanted to start a new tradition of having lamb at Easter. Many farms around us had lambs, but none had a leg of lamb to sell us. So Todd decided to get himself some sheep. But it did not stop at just any sheep, Todd researched sheep for out of season breeding, best meat to carcass ratio and tolerant to heat and cold. He came up with Horned Dorset sheep. A few months after our daughter was born she started being colicky, with Todd's background in Science, he read up on cow's milk proteins vs. sheep milk and we got our first East Friesan Dairy ewe" Alice" and the quest to better food began. We now grow about 300 meat birds for commercial sale from April to October. We are now distributors for ALFATEC alfalfa cubes and pellets.
