Tip: Going to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights? Make It THE Plan for the Night. 👻
It's the first day of Fall, and one of our favourite times of the year is just around the corner!
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando and Universal Hollywood isn't just a little Halloween fun added onto the end of a regular park day.
This is an entire nighttime event! With haunted houses, scare experiences, and plenty to keep you going well into the night.
One of our biggest tips?
💡 Don't exhaust yourself before the scares even start!
If Halloween Horror Nights is a priority during your Universal vacation, plan your day around it.
That might mean:
☀️ Enjoying a slower morning
🏨 Spending some time relaxing at your resort or by the pool
🎢 Keeping your daytime park plans a little lighter
🍽️ Making sure everyone is fed and ready to go
👻 Then making Halloween Horror Nights the MAIN event of your evening
And don't forget about the next morning!
After a late night of haunted houses and scares, you may not want your most ambitious early-morning park day waiting for you when you wake up. 😴
✨ The tip isn't simply to add Halloween Horror Nights to your vacation. It's to build your vacation around it.
A little strategic planning can mean more energy to experience the event, and a much more enjoyable next day too.
And one more important thing to know: Halloween Horror Nights is a separately ticketed event and it's INTENSE. Universal does not recommend the event for children under 13, so this is definitely one to consider carefully when planning a family vacation.

Tip: Going to a Disney Park Twice? Don’t Plan the Same Day Twice!
When we recommend more than one day at a Disney park, it’s not because we expect you to do the exact same thing all over again.
Quite the opposite.
💡 A second park day gives you the freedom NOT to rush the first one.
On your first visit, you might focus on:
🎢 Your priority attractions
🍽️ Dining plans
✨ Those must-do experiences
🎆 Nighttime entertainment
Then, when you come back?
💫 Ride the attractions everyone loved again
🎠 Experience the things you didn't get to the first time
🍿 Stop for that snack you've been eyeing
📸 Take the photos you didn't have time for
✨ Plan a longer experience you didn't want taking up a big part of your first day
❤️ And leave yourself some room to simply enjoy being there
When you know you're coming back, suddenly there's a lot less pressure to fit EVERYTHING into one park day.
And that's one of the reasons we often recommend more park days over the course of a longer Walt Disney World vacation.
It's not necessarily about doing more.
✨ It's about having more time to do it.
A second park day isn't a repeat.
It's what gives you the freedom not to rush the first one. 💫
